YATI Volunteer Vedant has recently been spotlighted on the Lung Association's new website!
Meet Vedant: “I have been volunteering with the Youth Advocacy Training Institute (YATI) for a while now throughout high school. The most interesting tasks I have done are movie reviews, including those for TIFF, some of which can be found on the YATI website. The experience has immensely enriched my understanding of the harmful effects of tobacco on society, and the various social aspects that lead people to start smoking. I have found it very gratifying to be able to contribute to the cause of educating youth against the use of tobacco. I truly believe that educating youth leads to a better and healthier future for everyone. In addition to that, this opportunity has allowed me to develop my own skills in becoming more punctual, dependable, task oriented and health conscious.”
Thank you so much Vedant for all of your contributions!
