How to Book or Host a Training

The Youth Advocacy Training Institute offers trainings free of charge designed for adults who work with youth and youth alike with the aim to engage youth in improving the health of their communities and province. By engaging youth through training, they will learn the necessary knowledge and skills to participate in health promotion and advocacy initiatives that aim to prevent chronic disease. In addition, these trainings provide adults with the knowledge and skills to empower youth to do this important work.

To book a training, click here to fill out and submit a training request form. Or you can contact Kristy Ste Marie, at 416-864-9911 ext 282 or email her at:

with your requested training and dates of availability. Once you have booked a training, the next steps to take are to recruit participants for the training if you don’t already have an established youth group, find a venue, and make arrangements for food during the training. YATI will cover the cost of the food served at the training.

The training materials will be shipped to your location, 1-2 weeks prior to the training, and a YATI trainer will arrive an hour prior to the training. Please ensure the training room is open one hour prior to the training.
